How To Brush Your Dogs Teeth Quick and Easy

Dr. Cal Williams demonstrates how to brush your dogs the proper way in order to keep your dog’s teeth and gums healthy.

As Dr. Williams states, you need to teach your dog to accept manipulation of their face and we have the best video for that, just click here.

As for equipment, we would like to add that there is a three sided brush that will allow you to get all angles of the teeth in one pass.

Toothpaste does help to kill bacteria, but if you run out or don’t have any on hand, don’t let that stop you. The dry brush will stimulate the gums and remove the bacteria.

He says to brush once a day, if your dog has a lot of build up you may want to brush after every meal to remove food particles and bacteria.

On the other hand, if you don’t have time to brush every day, many vets will agree that a minimum of 3 times a week will greatly benefit your dog as well.

If you have the toothpaste, just wiping it on the gum line without brushing will kill bacteria as well if you don’t have time to brush.
