Box Method for Running A-Frame Contact Step One

This is an interesting exercise for teaching a the running contact on the a-frame, it’s called the Box Method.

Developed by Rachel Sanders, you will see in this video the preliminary work teaching the dog correct form through the box.

Brittney points out and shows in slow motion both the good and bad runs of her dogs in this video through the box.

Now if you have never seen this method before you may be confused how this will improve a running contact.

In another video we will see the box placed on the a-frame to encourage the dog to use the same foot work on the a-frame as on the ground.

You really need the ground work solid before moving to the a-frame and the a-frame lowered until the dog masters the lesson.
