Teaching Weave Poles With Angled and Channel Weaves

This is a nice video that talks about the angled and channel methods, two of the most popular methods.

It also goes into detail of how to set them up and show how and when to adjust the poles as the dog progresses.

They also show you when and how to teach the dog to drive through the poles correctly with focus on the weaves.

They do this by using target to keep the dog’s focus ahead and not on the handler making learning weaves easier.

This allows the dog to drive forward with minimal distraction from the handler.

Then they explain how to add difficulty at the right time by closing down the chute as the dog learns to weave.
