Sit to Stand for Agility Dogs to Strengthen the Rear End

A great video demonstrating the exercise “Sit to Stand” for use in rehabilitation of the rear end of your dog.

This is also great for strengthening the rear end as the exercise works all the major muscles found in the hind end.

Dr. James St. Clair of TopDog Animal Health and Rehabilitation does a super job of demonstrating the Sit to Stand Exercise as well as covering some issues that you may encounter and how to work with them.

For healthy dogs you can see how this would be beneficial and easy to do to build strength of all obstacles in agility.

Jumping, climbing, ground speed and collection all require a strong rear end for performance as well as to avoid injury.
