How to Examine Your Agility Dog For Lameness

It is always a good idea to warm up and do stretches with your dog before hitting the equipment just like any athlete.

Another great thing to do on a regular basis is a quick body lameness check.

This is a great video by NicFoundLand: Australian Veterinarian showing you how to perform a quick lameness check.

Do keep in mind this is for mild lameness where the dog is still bearing weight on the limb but has a limp or a pre-check before or even after a run.

If your dog is not bearing weight on a limb you should seek veterinarian help as soon as possible as you may be dealing with a broken bone or a displaced joint.
