This Kelpie Flies Through Weave Pole Training with Channel Method

Sap is demonstrating how teaching the weave poles with the channel method allows him to have tremendous drive.

You would start with the poles further apart to start, this shows the final few inches of the learning process.

Many trainers will use both the channel method combined with other methods such as the angled weaves.

These two methods allow the dog to develop muscle memory for the weaving action on a full set of weave poles.

They also keep the drive up from the start as the poles are wider and the dog learns from the start to drive through.
