How to Prepare Your Agility Dog for Their Standard Jump Height

We shared Eliska Dolnickova’s first two videos on jump exercises for teams just starting out in jumping in dog agility.

This is step two in using jump lines to help your dog learn how to jump correctly with proper height and take off.

The first video used a “retarder” jump or jump bump to help your dog learn proper distance and “bounce” between jumps.

When your dog’s cadence, distance and jump form are solid you are ready to move to this exercise to help them get ready for their standard height.

You will notice that on this line the jump height gradually increases until the final jump is at full jump height for your dog’s division.
