Agility Dog Rear End Strength Training With a Box Jump
This is a short and concise video on how to use a “box jump” to strengthen the rear end of your agility dog.
We all know that repetitive jumping at full height is strenuous on the dogs joints, but they need a strong, driving rear end to get over clean.
This makes the “box jump” exercise a great choice as the dog does not need to be going full speed and will not land full force.
Please keep in mind this is strength training and you need to keep your sessions short to avoid strains and injury that could lead to aversion to the box and thus the pause table.
You can increase the amount of reps or number of sessions as your dog gains strength and endurance.
