Advancing Box Method for Running A-Frame Contacts
Wendy Pendleton and Cheetah worked real hard on their running a-frame contacts using the box method and it helped them a bunch.
We shared steps one and two with Wendy and Cheetah and wanted to share another of the advanced steps with additional height.
Notice the apex jump is gone and in their place are take off “noodles” to help Cheetah continue with good form over the apex.
It also shows how using grid work away from the a-frame will help with your dog’s striding over the a-frame, establishing the muscle memory.
The box method, along with the grid work, establishes the contact zone as a place the feet need to touch in all a-frame positions.
