What it Takes for the NADAC Extreme Agility Team
The NADAC Extreme Dog Agility Team is required to run several NADAC classes which includes the regular agility, tunnelers, jumpers, chances and hoopers course in the allotted time for each class. It tests the all around team to the limits by exhibiting excellent handling techniques by the handler and focus and agility from the dog.
Hoopers contains test hoops set in a pattern and non-test hoops in a straight line of four hoops. A qualifying run is worth 10 points.
Chances contains 10-15 obstacles from the NADAC list and includes distance tests where the dog must complete parts of the test 10-20 feet away from the handler depending on the level of the team and is on a pass/fail grade.
Jumpers contains a pattern of jumps and 1-2 tunnels and is a test of the dogs jumping ability and the effective handling style of the handler. A clean, non-faulted run is worth 10 points.
Tunnelers contains only tunnels and is designed to demonstrate the dogs ability to respond quickly to directional commands from the handler. A clean, non-faulted run is worth 10 points.
Regular agility contains any and/or all obstacles allowed on the NADAC list. A clean, non-faulted run is worth 10 points.
