Teaching Your Agility Dog The Forward Send

This is the second part in teaching your dog to jump correctly, the first lesson is How To Start Your Agility Dog’s Jump Skills

In this video you are building on your dog’s jump skills by teaching them to send ahead over the jump.

Provided you did the first lesson and your dog is loving the jump, this exercise will be a breeze!

Please remember that especially in the beginning that jumping is hard work so keep your sessions short.

If your dog acts lost or confused go back to the place they were successful, get a few correct responses then increase the distance again, but in a smaller step.

If your dog is flat out struggling with the send get your dog solid on the jumping skills first or practice the send without a raised bar and a target.
