Teaching Weave Poles With Wired Weaves
This is a nice example of how the wired weaves method is started where you teach the movement then add speed.
From the beginning the dog is shaped into the desired pattern of the weave movement with no restrictions from the handler.
You would have to teach drive through the weaves after the dog learns the correct movements of the weave poles.
For a dog with difficulty focusing on the obstacles this may prove to be a great method to use.
The dog must focus on the wires and can get encouragement from the handler without the fear of causing the dog to pop out of the weaves.
