Teaching the Dog Agility Pause Table Pt 2
In part one you saw the correct way to introduce your dog to the pause table while building their confidence at a low height.
When they are comfortable with that lesson you are ready to teach a five second “wait” on the table that they will need in competition.
Some prefer to start the dog with an automatic down from the first time they get up on the table which is a great idea.
In this video you will see how to introduce the “wait” with a “sit” or “down” so you will need those commands in place before starting this lesson.
Don’t forget to proof your dog’s “wait” once they are reliable on getting on the table, taking the desired position and holding it for 5 seconds.
