Teaching the Dog Agility Pause Table Pt 1

This is a super little video on how to get your dog started on the pause table that will be found in agility courses and some game classes.

We suggest that you teach through all three stages of the pause table training to be sure your dog will pause, even if right now you only intend to play games.

This training is also super for other aspects of your dog’s training and teaching a pause on the table is great for all aspects of obedience.

It can help with crate training, start line stays, rally and freestyle training as well as teaching your dog a “place” command.

Be sure to practice this step until your dog is confidently jumping onto the table, but not so long that they get into the habit of just getting on and off.
