How to Treat a Pad Injury on Your Agility Dog
There are so many ways our dogs can get hurt during practice or competition on or around dog agility equipment.
We try our best to make it as safe as possible for our dogs, but sometimes they hit something just right and break a toe.
They can also cut themselves while we are out on a “exercise” run through the park or open fields.
So what should you do if you find your dog bleeding or limping with a swollen foot?
Dr. James Talbott shows you how to address a foot pad injury on your dog in order to get the dog to the vet safely.
If you do take your dog out and about for practice and exercise you should always pack an emergency first aid kit just for them and leave it in the car they travel in. Be sure to keep it stocked and up to date.
