PD Loving Susan Salo’s Dog Agility Jump Bumps

Sue Bricker and her young Border Collie, PD, working on jump grid exercises that will help PD learn proper form for jumping.

Being only 7mns old, PD is not ready to take any jump above the elbow so these jump bumps work real well for them.

At this point they are not looking for execution of the jump, but rather the approach and striding between jumps.

You can see both PD’s drive and immaturity that make training a bit challenging with trying to keep PD focused and working at a safe level.

This is a constant battle for anyone working with high drive dogs that are young or new to the sport, but you have to be persistent.
