NADAC Hoopers Ground Speed Competition

Hoopers is a ground speed competition introduced by NADAC with by nature is less demanding on the dog as it does not require any climbing or jumping.

It is a series of hoops in a pattern determined by the judge and is broken into 3 categories, Elite, Open, and Novice.

To give you an idea on the speed, the longest standard time is 48 seconds.

This video is a great example of how a run would look and these teams do a great job on their runs.

While not as visually stimulating as an agility course, you can soon see how refined your handling skills would need to be at competition levels.
