Learning Dog Agility Lap, Tandem, German and Jaakko Turns

Natalie Mauchmar does a great job of not only demonstrating these turns, but also she explaining them as well.

She uses both an experienced dog so you can see what they look like completed as well as a younger dog to show how to teach them.

Sometimes it is really helpful to see a young dog make mistakes so you can learn how to correct them and know it will happen.

We think it is really cute when Natalie has to use a treat lure as her younger dog is really food motivated and wants the treat not the toy.

While we need to fade treats as quickly as possible, they still have their place with young and/or inexperienced dogs when teaching new behaviors.

A really nice and complete example of these turns that makes them easier to identify and teach to your dog and self.
