While these terriers are often over looked due to their plain appearance, these are formidable earth dogs.

Used mostly for flushing foxes on a fox hunt these charming but tenacious terriers can also take on a badger.

They are also leggier than other earth dogs so they can keep up with the horses on the hunt.

Their plainness may even be the reason this little guy has remained a healthy breed true to its original form and function.

These terriers are a bit more mellow then other terriers and are great family dogs and with those long legs they can make excellent agility dogs as well.
