Awesome Insights on Running USDAA Steeplechase

This video is jammed packed with all kinds of great advice from judge Peggy Hammond  insight on the Steeplechase as well as course interpretation.

It is so awesome to see what Peggy is describing while they show different dogs doing exactly what she says.

She mentions that the Steeplechase is meant to be a course that allows the dog to really open up, but this particular course had some unforeseen challenge due to the close confines.

It is invaluable information for anyone competing for interpreting what is on paper and then seeing it run.

It proves how you must know your dog’s weakness and be able to find sticky spots in a course that maybe even the judge didn’t see.
