Australian Kelpie Shows the Value of Play in Dog Agility Training

Spanky was adopted from the Tacoma Humane Society by Kate Johnson when she took a chance on Spanky.

Kate shows the value of play to create drive and desire while practicing and teaching dog agility to her.

Kate also uses play as a reward for correct behavior as well as a reward for completing the course.

Sometimes it is hard to remember what we see as work, the dog has no idea if we keep it upbeat and light.

To them it is a fun way for them to get what they want, more time to play and be with us.

Toward the end you will see Spanky loose her drive as she tires, but she still completes the task.
