2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show adds More Breeds

While these breeds are by no means new, they are new to the Westminster Dog Show by finally meeting specific criteria.

In fact, many of these breeds we have seen competing and doing very well in dog agility.

The Bergamasco, the Berger Picard, the Boerbel, the Cirneco dell’Etna, the Lagotto Romagnolo, the Miniature American Shepherd, and the Spanish Water Dog.

One of the qualifying reasons they are now allowed is their popularity in the United States.

This is great news for the breeds as long as they maintain their standards and ethical breeding.
