Teach Your Dog to Remain Calm In A Crate for Dog Agility Events pt 1
This is the first step in teaching your dog how to remain calm and quiet in their crate at an agility event.
Pam takes you step by step on how to set your dog up for success all the way through the lesson.
It is all about raising your dogs level of emotion at a rate that does not excite the dog, but teaches him how to control those emotions.
You should start any lesson like this in a low stress environment first so the dog’s level of emotion is at it’s lowest.
When your dog can master this at home then you are ready to raise the emotion level by going to another familiar environment and start from the beginning.
Keeping the steps small enough for the dog to remain in control is the key.
