Attention Training For Your Agility Dog Starts With Eye Contact

This is a easy and quick way to start your dog focusing on you.

While on the agility course it is too time consuming to say your dog’s name before each obstacle, this lesson teaches your dog to focus on you for direction.

You can even teach the dog to focus on you with a different word or sound in addition the dog’s name.

If you use your dog’s name, be very certain you expect this response all the time and that you do not use their name as a correction or off the cuff.

For agility you can use a whistle, clapping, twitter, here, or whatever you will use to draw your dog back to you.
