8 Months is Still Puppy Agility
When I was watching this I thought, “Those aren’t puppies. The title must be wrong.”
Then I read the description that they are all 8/9 month old puppies having fun in their pre-agility training classes!
It helps drive home the point that they are not puppies for long and how easy it is to rush them as they look older.
Remember, they may look like adult dogs on the outside but their minds and bodies are still young and tender.
Don’t fool yourself into pushing your puppy to fast in your agility practices or keep lessons too long and repetitious.
Do like this class of “big” pups and keep it fun, upbeat and short. Keep obstacles low and work on handling.
Your pup will grow up fast enough and you have years to practice the harder lessons.
