Box Method For Running A-Frame Contact Step Two

Wendy and her dog Cheetah give a nice demonstration of starting the box work on the a-frame.

You will see there is also a jump at the apex of the a-frame that is set at about 20 inches.

During this session Cheetah misses only once by jumping over the entire box but nails the rest of the attempts.

As with any training you don’t want to move on too fast and Wendy chose to move on as Cheetah was at 85% correct.

You need to be sure your dog is solid like this or even better before raising the difficulty by raising the a-frame.
