Great Tips on Starting the Dog Agility Tunnel
What we really love the most about this video is the fact they are using a dog new to the tunnel.
They tried to start with a longer tunnel, but the dog wasn’t having it so they had to change plans.
This is exactly what you should do in your training of the tunnel, find a tunnel that can collapse enough to make your dog comfortable.
They also talk about a cue word, they start with come as that is in fact, what the dog is doing.
Once the dog is comfortable with a short tunnel you will gradually add length to the tunnel.
You can start using your obstacle command as soon as your dog is comfortable committing to the tunnel.
