Starting Your Dog on the Dog Agility A-Frame

This is a great video that covers how you would start your dog on the a-frame by introducing the contact position 2on 2off before adding height.

It is one of the harder obstacles for the dog to perform due to the amount of strength and control on both the upside and downside of the frame.

So, spending loads of time getting your dog not just good with 2o2o contacts, but solid on them with tons of proofing as well as running at high speeds to the contact.

One of the scariest scenes to see in dog agility is that of a dog leaping over the apex of the a-frame and completely missing the downside.

Having solid contacts is one of the best ways to ensure your dog will not get injured on the a-frame as his focus will be on getting his feet into position.
